I am a Sales Rep and its a litle off the topic but heres a little advise i'd like to share to those "new" to the Mattress Biz..
When Im selling a mattress over the phone I like to put myself on their level, I make them feel like weve been friends forever, and I talk to them like we are "friends" but still maintain proffesionalism. I ask them about their personal lives, and I even tell them about my life sometimes, it breaks the ice. That makes them comfortable with buying from a "friend" and it closes alot of sales. People always say to me when we hang up, "Thanks Kerrie you really made me feel good, most sales people are pushy, and intimidating, and you were patient with me, and made the purchase fun.
